The Gospel For Wednesday, the 15th week in Ordinary Time is taken from Matthew 11:25 27. At that time, Jesus exclaimed, I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. For although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, we have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.

This is a rare conversation between Jesus and his Father, and he’s thanking him. And he realizes that those that he has longed to reach, those of the Temple, are so resistant and closed that he’s not being able to reach them. And so he gives thanks for those who do listen, the childlike, the ones that are open to something beyond their imagining. That’s who we should be. The childlike, open, receptive, excited about this message of life. Satan.

Sam Sat. Sam. Satan. Satan. Satan. Closing Prayer Father, make us childlike.

Help us to be open to things we can’t fully figure out, but trust that the one who tells them to us is are for us. Give us a docile heart. And we ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
